Works in Progress
Not a lot of words today, working on several pieces from my river series again. These are like old friends and I'm enjoying working with the rich, darks that are so available in oil. Oils tend to reveal the movement of the brush so much more elegantly than acrylic. I think I have completed the forest piece, although it needs to sit for a while and it will let me know if it needs more attention or not.

Hmmm... After a stretch with the human form, you've gone on to landscapes. I like these, especially the bottom one with its reflections in the water. Heh, heh! Then again, I tend to stick to Nature with the camera myself. At the moment I'm trying to figure out which way to go once I head out the door.
Very nice work, Holly. Landscapes are to me, a rest from other paintings - well, except when one goes bad.
Holly,
Your reflective paintings always take me back to wonderful long lazy summer days at the lake with my family in Northern Ontario. This passage could be the very one taken in the canoe to territories yet unexplored. Thank you for the reminder of a less complicated time of life.
